About the Meetings
1. What is the purpose of these meetings?
Our meetings are a safe, friendly space where you can practice speaking English without fear of mistakes. The goal is to help intermediate learners break barriers and speak confidently.
2. Who are these meetings for?
The meetings are for people at the intermediate level who feel stuck or struggle to speak English fluently. If you make mistakes, feel shy, or lack confidence, this is the right place for you.
3. What happens during a typical meeting?
Meetings are informal and relaxed. Participants chat about everyday topics, share experiences, and simply practice speaking in English.
4. How long is each meeting?
Each meeting lasts for one hour. For beginners, we start with two shorter sessions of 15 minutes to help ease you into the format.
5. How many people are in each meeting?
We try to organize 1-on-1 meetings, but sometimes there may be 2-3 participants, and very rarely 4.
6. Will there be native speakers?
For now, the focus is on practicing with other non-native speakers. In the future, we’ll have sessions with native speakers to improve pronunciation.
7. What about grammar or vocabulary questions?
During the meetings, the focus is on speaking, not grammar. However, over time, you’ll naturally learn from others and improve through practice.
8. What topics do you talk about?
Topics are simple and practical, focusing on everyday conversations. The goal is to make you feel comfortable speaking English in real-life situations.
9. Can beginners join the meetings?
The meetings are for intermediate learners. If you’re a beginner, you might find them challenging, but you’re still welcome to join and try the shorter 15-minute sessions for beginners.
Joining and Participation
1. Do I need to prepare before the meeting?
No preparation is needed — just come ready to speak and engage!
2. What level of English do I need to join?
The meetings are designed for intermediate learners. If you can understand most of what’s being said but struggle to respond fluently, this is for you.
3. What if I don’t understand everything during the meeting?
That’s completely okay! Understanding everything isn’t the goal — communication is. Our meetings are meant to help you improve step by step, so it’s natural to miss some words or phrases. If you don’t understand something, you can ask the other person to repeat or explain it in simpler words. Remember, everyone in the group has been in your shoes and is happy to help. Over time, you’ll notice your understanding improves naturally as you practice more. Don’t worry — just focus on participating and enjoying the conversation!
4. Can I join if I’m shy or nervous about speaking?
Absolutely! Many of our participants feel the same way at first. Our meetings are designed to be supportive and judgment-free. You can start at your own pace — just listening at first if you prefer — and gradually build your confidence. Everyone here understands what it’s like to feel shy or nervous, and you’ll find that the atmosphere is friendly and encouraging. Over time, you’ll feel more comfortable and ready to speak!
5. What happens if I make mistakes?
Mistakes are welcome! No one will judge or correct you. You’ll improve naturally by listening to others and practicing.

Your comfort and well-being are our priority. If it’s not your day, that’s okay — everyone has moments like that. You can let us know that you’d prefer to just listen for today, and we’ll adjust by creating a group with several people so you can participate at your own pace. There are always flexible solutions. However, it’s often worth staying in the meeting and meeting new people — you might find it easier than you expected!
3. Are there rules for participating?
The main rule is to relax and enjoy the experience! Be supportive, patient, and open to practicing without fear.
Progress and Results
1. How quickly will I improve my English?
By practicing consistently in a supportive environment, you’ll gain confidence and fluency. Mistakes become less intimidating, and you’ll develop a natural way of speaking. We saw the effects after the first 2-3 weeks. However, we were surprised by what happened after two months.
2. Will I get feedback on my speaking?
We don’t evaluate participants. However, you’re welcome to join as many meetings as you like to continue improving.
